I have an associate that wants to sell me a NIB lightning blower. (just the blower, no plem, or lower)

He wants $550 but it seems like I've seen much more cost effective deals around. The only appeal to this I can see is that it's a new factory unit.

What say ye?

Problem is it doesn't come with a new factory warranty. If you found someone looking to replace an old unit, you may sell it for close to that. But these units run well over 100k with regularity. I've seen L's with over 200k with a stock blower. If someone were doing an L swap, it would cost too much to buy all the other components to justify that amount on just a stock blower. I would ask 500 obo since it's a new unit, but be prepared to take 3-400 for it final sale.

BTW, I got the blower, lower, mid, IC, plenum, TB, fuel rail, injectors, & sensors with under 70k for 500.

Yeah, I'm not even looking to S/C the truck yet but if someone made a good enough argument for one, (Like low price) I'd do it. He threw the idea out there and I thought I'd ask all of you.
