That's awesome! When you get your compressor, go ahead and get a new accumulator & orifice tube. Replace all your seals while you have it apart. If done correctly, you won't have any AC problems for 20 years.

You can get the entire kit from Rock Auto for a reasonable price. Best thing you could do is have someone purge your lines with nitrogen after the new components are installed. That will remove any residual moisture in the system. Then vacuum it down to <3 microns and let it sit for about 4 hours to ensure there are no leaks and to remove all atmospheric air. Then charge it with new freon. Synthetic is best. Also remember to add the appropriate type & amount of oil to the compressor while turning the shaft to get it in there. Like bench bleeding a master cylinder. The installation instructions will identify the oil and how many ounces. Not too difficult to do. You really only need a vacuum pump as far as specialty equipment. And someone with the nitrogen and a set of gauges. The sticker under your hood will give you the system capacity for the freon.
