i just like the look of paint over chrome. i think that paint has a more sporty image than chrome does.

Just a trend right now where loads of people are "murdering out" their trucks, cars, and bikes. I have been a fan of the blacked out look for years and years. Well before the trend started. So I am happy about it. I like chrome, but love the look of a blacked out ride.

While I'm not in the marketing business, it's obvious (to me) that this is why auto manufacturers offer models with chrome. Some like it, some don't. It was extreemly popular in the 50's, but it added lots of weight. It was removed in the 70's during the gas prices rising in an attempt to help fuel economy. Today, they use lighter metals, and have brought back chrome, albeit in less moderation.

I personally prefer the bumpers to be painted the color of the body, but would agree a nice clean and polished chrome truck looks good. On darker colors, chrome fits well.

I think you might have chrome confused with polished aluminum...I've never had to polish my chrome with never dull or any other polisher for that matter to get it to shine or maintain it. Soap and water is all it takes.

I think in moderation rattle can rims, bumpers, emblems, rockers etc... look...well... cheap and ghetto But .....I WOULDN'T HATE IT...just not for me.

Run what you want, it's your truck. If you like it, than I like but it doesn't mean I'd drive it. What I find pathetic is the people that feel the need to voice their negative opinion every chance they get. Never before have I seen people whine so much about colors of rims. If peoples choice of rims is that important to you, you have one pathetic life.
