I would love TL, RX330, S2000 or even FX projectors but I think our head light bowl is too shallow to house it. TL's might be the best for the money in my opinion. The Valeo in my wifes A4 is good but it doesn't match the width and intensity I've seen out of TL projectors. But I don't have the time mess with a full retro job so I will just do the MiniH1. Also, I agree with you, MiniH1 is perfect for 99% of the population.

Most OEM projectors from the factory like your Valeos are required to use frosted or fresnel lenses which is why you don't get that razor sharp cutoff like you see on these retrofits. TRS equips all projectors they sell with clear lenses and sometimes better shields for extended width and that beautiful, sharp cutoff. This also gives the retro-fits much better color-flicker than the OEM stuff as well. When you do one of these retro-fits you will have better lights than just about any OEM vehicle on the road in the USA.

Equip OEM projectors with clear lenses and they perform much better. TL and S2000 with clear lenses are amazing, probably the best (TL = bixenon, S2000 = low beam).

RX330 and S2000 are both amazing projectors, but they are low-beam only so they won't do us much good in the F150. I've seen TLs done on a 2006 F150, but it requires you to cut a bit out of the radiator support which needs to be done with plasma grinding with magnesium...a very dangerous job. FXR is the best option for top performance in the F150, MiniH1 is the best option for easy install and very good performance.

Where did you order from, I ordered a kit from TRS yesterday at 9am, and it's already here? Recon housings (halogen) with HID? So the cut off is yellowish, fuzzy, and looks like two sideways 7's? Halogen projectors with HID are a LOT better than HID in stock housings, but if you already spent the $ on Recon's you could have bought 2-3 retrofitting kits...

from TRS as well, but i got free priority shipping because ups is very unreliable in this area and notorious for being slow and unorganized. i have no idea on cut off with recons, i would never spend that much on cheap headlights. lol mine should be here tomorrow hopefully. i didnt order mine till after office hours so it went out the next day(yesterday) from ohio so im expecting it to be tomorrow. mail runs at 10 a.m. and girlfriend gets off work at 7 p.m. so i have 9 hours to get everything done and sealed back up

9 hours huh? Well... If you are working with OEM housings, that won't happen. If you happen to be using aftermarket you're good to go. I used a simple hair dryer on LOW and had my housings apart in less than 5 minutes each, that's why I charge $50 labor for aftermarkets and $200 for OEM's. Yes, there is THAT much of a difference.

Almost all aftermarket projector housings are designed for halogen. Putting an HID bulb in one of those is a lot better than putting it in a stock housing (still a lot better than stock) but the cut off will be fuzzy, yellowish and have ghosts all over the place. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I am not bashing anyone for putting HID's in stock housings or aftermarket projectors designed for halogen. I am simply stating it so others can understand the two extremes and everything between.

Instead of using a blow dryer to open up the headlights why not bake it on 275 for 8-10 mins? I did that on my old truck and it only took a few mins to open up.
