If your 04 is the older body style I would guess that is why. Honestly other than that your best bet is to contact edge. They have great customer support.

Hey Bass I'm getting my edge should I update it or will it be ready to use straight out of the box? Also I'm going to try your 87 tow/economy tune what should my settings be if I have 3.55s and a 35 inch Toyo MT.

Put your gear at 3.55 of course and set your tires to about 2791mm. I would also not recommend changing your TC Lock Points. Leave them at 0. Your gear ratio with those 35s is just a tad too tall. You're tranny probably wouldn't like it

Thanks Bass I'm getting my edge tomorrow can't wait. Should it be ready to go out of the box or will it require updating?

I'm not sure honestly just go ahead and install the software that comes with it in your computer then plug it in and see if it needs an update.

When you pick a tune it will ask if you would like to customize it.

If you have questions just read this. It pretty much walks you through how to do everything. I'm picking my edge up friday and I just finished reading through it and it answered all the questions I had.

I have kinda a problem. Lol I know my truck is gonna be kinda slow but I did a 0-60 the other day and got a 19 usually I get around 12-13. From the start it really struggled to push over the 2300rpm range. I have the 5.4 with 35's and 3.73 gears. I'm not sure what I put in setting I did it a while back but ill post them tomorrow. But till then can anyone explain what could cause this. I understand it might be something mechanical but I would like to see if it was my programming.

Thanks,

I tried the tow tune and compared to Bass setting i liked Bass settings a lot better. I noticed it shifted firmer, smoother acceleration and throttle response.
