Eff you Sync.
I wish we'd never met,
you constantly embarrass me when friends and family are around and I try to show you off.
I would be better off without you,
but since I have you I can't help but want us to work out.
I should have known Apple products would not play nice with Microsoft,
and my iPod keeps locking up and defaults to the defaults at every new power up.
My Droid is supposed to play nice with you,
but it only auto connects to BT half the time.
You drop connections when dialing the services menu,
and you rarely understand what I say.
I have to keep my Megellan in the console because I can't count on you when I need directions,
and I like it better anyway because you give way to many audible prompts and keep cutting my music out.
You have a second USB port that would be a perfect iPod interface that could be kept out of view,
but if I use it my warranty may be voided.
Every now and then you work smoothly and flawlessly,
only to get my hopes up and so you can smack me down like the co-dependant A-hole that I am.
So Eff you Sync, I wish we'd never met so I didn't want you so bad.

Hate to throw a wrench at such a lovely poem but - Mine is flawless - every time.

 

Same here.... there was a brief moment of unexplained weirdness right after I set it up, but ever since, sync finds my device whenever bluetooth is activated without fail. I have an ASUS EEEpad tablet - for movies, music, games, etc.... stereo bluetooth FTW!

 

Mine used to work flawlessly for the first few months. Then it started degrading little by little into the abomination it is now. At least the rest of the truck has been flawless.

My Sync doesn't understand anything I say. And then once you mess up, it won't work proper till you reset it.

I tell her "Select Genre Country"

Sync Says...

"Press OK For Track 03" I want COUNTRY dammit!

We've been working on this one for weeks and she just won't listen to me.

Mine was working great except the occasional "we lost your ipod and can't find it" once a month where all I'd have to do was take the fuse out for 3 minutes to reset and good for another month.

Then I installed the new "update". Definitely more of a PITA now. Fail. You would think I'd have learned by this point... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Haha, I agree though, the voice recognition is usually flawless until you go try and show your friends how it works. 99% of the time it'll nail that favorite song you play so often that sync will cut you off mid syllable because it knows exactly what you want. Until you get a group of your buddies around and it decides to play the most embarrassing song (everybody's got em) you've got on there that sounds NOTHING like what you wanted. Whoops!

 

Sounds like my X-Wife. I dumped her -= you should try that.

 

If it is a 2011, give it time. Mine is "flawless" 85-90%. Kinda funny, as the OP mentioned, mine has blanked out twice when I was trying to show it off.

 

Maybe my speech is all f-ked up... I'm only Canadian we don't talk that funny up here but that Sync chick just doesn't understand much I say...

I'm going to need to go through speech therapy just to get her to love me.
