Also, I would prefer the top of the mudflap to be more "faired in" to the front wheel well. While functional, this design juts out 2 inches from the fender and just doesn't look right to my eye. At least put a decent 1 inch radius on the top of the flap extension.

It also looks like 1/4 of the tire tread (inside) is still exposed to the running board. That means lots of opportunity for mud, gravel, horse apples, etc. to get flung up on your stored running boards. Yuck.
The above pic just doesn't look right. Count me as another who is looking for a mud flap solution for a Platinum.

Hi- for the fronts. just turn the front wheel enough to get a drill and screw driver in place to torque down the screws. For the back, you need to remove the wheel to get to the bottom 2 screws.

The Husky ones do have the little indent for the boards. but on the Platinum. the boards are 3-4 inches out so the indent is really not required.

Its been a tough winter so far here- I have been to the high pressure self-wash 5 times, so far the plastic Krylon paint is holding up with no chipping.

Thanks for posting the photos Schambo. Good job on the mudflaps.
FYI.
Sorry, might have bought them from Pep Boys. I think I still have the package and will look later.

The rear mudflaps look really good!

I measured my Platinum from running board (stored) to back edge of front wheel well. It was 6 inches. Maybe 5 7/8. That should be lots of clearance for the front flaps eliminating the need for a clearance dimple.

I'm still in the "WTF am I going to do?" mode. I hope to make a decision before I screw up the paint with too many off road adventures without mudflaps.

I didn't stop to shop for mudflaps last night. I was in a rush to get home. It was "beer-thirty". You probably know how that is.

Maybe tonight. I've got an AutoZone and a O'Rielly's/Pep Boys on my way home. I can check them both.

I just installed the weathertech mudflaps. To those who have them, do you have a slight gap on the front guards. Near the top rotating closures?

Ours doesn't have a gap on the front ones but does have the gap on ONE of the back ones at the top - must be something with how the plastic was moulded because the other one fit fine.

Was planning to add one of the screws and washers to each of the flaps. Anyone know if the hardware that comes with these flaps is stainless??? The web site says the QuickTurn cams are stainless but I was wondering about the other stuff. (Compared it to some known stainless that I had but guess they don't mark bolts to identify as stainless?)
