For those that have installed the WeatherTechs with the fender flares - in looking at the no drill QuickTurn cam photos on the WeatherTech site it looked like this might rub the paint off the inside of the wheel well lip and I thought maybe getting some of the 3M protectant strips might not be a good idea for the install. But took a closer look at our truck and am now wondering if they actually tighten on the plastic fender flares??

Anyone know what the QuickTurn's are actually attaching to??

Thanks!

I installed my Weathertechs a couple days ago and the quick turn grabs onto the inside of the fender flare. However, they don't grip it tight enough to fully contour the flap without a gap so they give you a couple screws that are "optional". You just drill a couple 1/8" holes into the inside of the plastic fender flare and that snugs them up nice and makes them fit perfect. The rears don't have the quick turn and just attach by the clips and 2 bolts in existing holes. I am thinking about adding a screw to the top of those though to snug them up where there is a small gap.
The packaging says "no drilling through metal". I am very pleased with them though and the drilling was no big deal.

Default WeatherTech front mudflaps running board clearance.

I called WeatherTech this morning and they said their front wheel mud flaps will not clear the automatic running boards on my 2010 F-150 Platinum.

Any suggestions? I need mudflaps.

How did PlatinumSean install the mud flaps on his Platinum in the pictures at the begining of this thread?

Thanks Shotgun and 09KingRanch!! Good to know it's just turning on the plastic - adding a couple of holes there shouldn't be a problem!

I just put a coat of p21s carnauba wax on her this afternoon so she's ready for me to order and install those flaps. Hope gas will still be affordable once I get to driving her - nothing like a garage queen pickup truck!!
