iPad mini in-dash install
Hardcore, actually the ipad mini so far stay about the same percent while plugged in and using it in the truck. Apparently the trickle charge that it is getting is enough to keep it charged which is nice because my old original ipad setup drained that battery and would only charge a little if I turned the screen off. As for the accessory connected screen, yes it does come up still on the mini when you use the Apple Music app but I use Spotify and Pandora most of the time so I don't have to worry about that.

It will be interesting to see if it's not dead by the time I get home.
I've noticed my iPad 2 in my truck takes a really long time to drain when plugged in...When I left for my vacation it was at half battery and It had been weeks since I've charged it, which leads me to believe it gets a trickle from the USB. Maybe I'm wrong and the iPad has a really awesome battery life, because Apple products are great...

Unfortunately I do not have the time to make these at the moment but would love to start doing them. I will let you know if I do decide to do more of these. I like the Matte finish as well. Thanks!!
Thanks!! Yea mine was textured to begin with. The piece I used was a little smooth but I still wanted that textured matte look. I used Krylon's semi-gloss black textured spray paint and it came out perfect for me!!
