im still not understanding how the ipad mini works with the truck speakers and subs or whatever other audio accessories are plugged in. could you explain a little bit more clearer please? also with the radio, not quite sure about that either. i have the 04 new body style if that helps with anything.

It plugs into the truck's USB port and works as a source just like plugging in an iPod.

Your 04 wouldn't have any input like the 09+ sync system does.

Do you have pics of the back with holder installed?

Tim,

I tried to reply to your PM but your inbox is full so here is your reply..Unfortunately that was the only picture I forgot to take after I installed the bracket to hold it it. What i did was on my dash piece I took (3M 4646 VHB double sided tape) and put that on all 4 sides on the dash piece where the ipad is going to rest. then made sure I was very careful in placing the ipad down to make sure it was centered and where i wanted it. This made it nice for adding the bracket because your ipad is already in place and being held in by the tape. Plus it makes a nice seal around the face of the ipad and the dash piece. Then all i did was make an angle bracket that i could screw to the top of the a/c controls when installed (there is plent of room to screw small screws to the top of it). then i put more double sided VHB tape on the side that would attach to the ipad mini. Hope this helps you out. Sorry I do not have a picture for you to see this, but I think i expained it pretty well.
