I made and piece of metal that was an angle and just mounted it to the climate control module and 3m'd it to the back of the iPad to keep it secure.

Did you move the factory radio to the glove box or an aftermarket?
Would this be possible and still keep the ford sync?
Can you post some shoots of the radio in the glove box? And explain that process?

It does look freaking awesome and I'd love to give it a try.

This looks good and you did a great job making it look factory. Is this mainly for music or navigation. I'm just wondering what the purpose is of installing the ipad into the dash. I think ford would have been better off by going with apple in first place.

Thanks for the comments guys!!! As for the Radio in the glove box, I did not do anything fancy with the Radio controls. All I did was take the harness that plugs into the radio controls normally in the dash and routed it to the glove box so that I could just plug the radio controls that I took off the original dash piece and just have it placed in the glove box now if I ever need to get to the controls to change anything.

Yes I am using a Verizon wireless 4G hotspot in my truck that I just have permanently mounted in my truck to provide the wifi connection for the ipad and anyone else that needs it in my truck

I have the ipad connected through the SYNC USB with the lightning cable. The nice thing is you really don't need the radio controls because with the SYNC system you pretty much can control everything with the steering wheel controls.

I mostly use it for music but I also use it with an app called DashCommand to monitor my trucks performance and systems. It's pretty cool.
