I am also wondering if the filler panels used with radio installs would work under the radio trim. the small cubby pieces.
do you mean to make a little storage area there instead of the cover I made?

No I got mine with the console, I see that many on eBay are not coming with them... I think it others are planning on doing this mod they should email the seller, (mostly junk yards) and ask them to give you the side panels too! Heck if you want to get bold I would ask for the AC panels too but I can see why they won't break up a dash!

That is possible but I can't remember how much room there is and what is behind it. That will probably be one of the last things you do and you may find there is enough room to do something with?? Keep in mind that the top piece of the console comes off and that is important if you want to put things under there like the wiring for ambient lights, 110 inverter and so on,. you will need room to lift the top off to get access to that area to add or repair anything. So the piece I made pops out, then I can lift up the consoles top! So you want to make sure what ever you put there can be removed rather easily...

perfect thx. I pulled apart the underneath portion of my center stack. it appears that all I need is the adapter from the fron of the console to the box for the ac to the rear vents to work! Finally a win!

That's cool, but let me ask you this?

so all you need to do is get the extension tube post #11 of this thread which would hook up to the console, and then you are saying that the outlet is already in the HVAC box for the other end of the extension tube to hook to? if that is the case then I must assume that it has a block on it that can be removed? Is this correct?

Now I wonder if you are talking about #8 of this link?? Right now it should look like what is in the picture,,,, but if you notice there are 2 #8's in the listing, I figure you will need the one that says w flow through and I bet it is that tube even though it isn't pictured! That would mean you remove that part and the tube bolts right to the HVAC

That is not what I am seeing... but you are definitely the expert here. under the center stack there is a large hole which I verified sends air to the back underneath floor. what I am thinking is that all I need is #15 which would connect the flow through vent that is in the console, to the a/c vent that is found under the center stack. does this make any sense?
