flow through console conversion on 2013

here is a close up of mine, that is why I thought yours would still be there and didn't think they were below the console. anyway notice I put a button where the usb and line in use to be, now look below that, this is a piece I made to cover the gap that was below the usb connection and the console so again I still can't believe your is below that because you would be really reaching low on the dash to plug anything in.. any way I didn't leave them there seeing that I had plenty of room for them because I didn't like them there in the first place, I hate having wiring hanging off the dash period. so all I did is what I am saying for you to do. when you install the console and since it is thought that you will be covering them with the console all you have to do is go to radio shack and buy to cables, one that is male to female 1/8" stereo cable and the other that is male to female usb cable. Run them into the storage and it is done. Then you plug your what ever in and be done. now since you have all the space on the console itself such as the shifter, *usless you want to change it to floor shifter* you can install the usb and line in there so it is outside of the storage if you would rather have it there. All it will take is buying the right stuff. The total cost it will add is probably less then 20 bucks if you want to go with a usb and line in mount and 10 buck if you want to put them in the storage.

Now take a look at this picture,,, look at where the console is compared to the dash, then look at the pedal in compare to the height of the console,,, are you sure your usb connectors are below the console?? better yet, look at the bottom edge on the dash above the pedals, notice that the console is about 3" higher than the bottom of the dash! is that how far down you have to reach to plug in your usb cable???

It will be tight, but I think I can manage it without running the new cables! thanks for the pics and assistance. Any ideas on how I should go about filling in the void where the shifter is? I am assuming there are no prefabbed parts that can go in there. which is also disheartening as I do not know what to do with the spot!

also, do you have a part number for the large black plastic that attaches to the front of the console and goes forward towards the front of the cab

Judging by those pics you won't have to reroute wires for the sync ports

awesome, greatly appreciate it. were there any other parts you purchased for the swap? whats your solution for the console shift space? also, my console came with the upfitter switch... is it possible to put something else there? maybe more storage?

I purchased two big sheets of black abs plastics to create a filler panel for the shifter location which will be a custom up fitter switch also using it to make the small filler pieces on the side

here is that brace, as you will notice it bolts to the floor and to the dash, but not on our trucks as the dash is different that the ones with the flow though console. As I said I could take a video of mine without any bracing or mounting other than the two floor bolts and the clips that attach the AC panels to the console! It does NOT move!!
Keep in mind I have the OEM radio installed in that console, it is not mounted to anything other than the console and I have never had it skip while playing cd's so that should tell you there is no movement in the console at all!
