Thanks took a few times but I like the way it came out. Now I'm working on making some fiberglass panels to cover up everything but the motor and cold air intake

The best looking install I have seen yet. Where did you run the heater hoses? I ordered Mustang heater hoses so I will run them under each side of the cover like they do.

I know I will have to cut them up, but it looks like the engine side connectors are the same, but the heater side one of them is a different diameter. But I also have a spare set of F150 hoses to play with too.

Little update, the Mustang drivers side, which is the one I was most wanting to use, will not work. It is a different diameter hose, different heater side connector. I knew I would need to cut and splice them back together, but at this point it is better to just make the custom ones.

Hey azmidget91, thats why I never tried it as I was told they are molded to fit the mustangs which are on the opposite side. My first thought was to buy 2 of the same mustang passenger sides and make them work as I think they were the longest. But once you make your own and they have been on for a while they form and hold the shape you install them in. If you use the thermoplastic gates clamps be sure you have your connectors where you want them before heating them up. Mine have held up perfect since I did mine earlier in this post. The gates quick connects worked out perfect too. I have a couple sets of factory f150 hoses as I ended up experimenting with the different brand connectors. A lot of good info if you take the time to read the whole thread. Basically you can use elbows and clamps or the Dormans or gates quick connects. We had trouble with the Dorman quick connects leaking because of the O rings that came with them. So we took out the O rings from our factory hoses and put in the Dormans to stop the leaks. We used 90 degree connectors. The Gates are more pricey but you do not have to swap out their O rings and quality is spot on. Good luck and I hope yours turns out well.

Yeah, I read through this thread quite a bit. I also never saw anyone who has tried to make the Mustang hoses work, so I tried. With all the trouble people were having with the Dorman's, I wanted to keep as much OEM parts as possible, but would take more splicing than I imagined to get the correct hose diameter. I knew the Mustang hoses were molded different but with a splice or two could have gotten them to fit right, but with the driver side being a different diameter and the one connector being a different size, it's not worth it.

I have the Gates connectors ordered and will pick up the hose and clamps.

You will be pleased with the gates quality. Just be sure to lube the pipe nipples with some coolant and gently line them up before sliding them on. That way you are sure not to damage a O ring. Good luck and thanks for the info posted on the mustang hoses, good to know for those who might be thinking about them.
