Howdy all, haven't been on and posted forever.....thought I would chime in and say I have had zero leaks from my quick connects since installation of the stock o-rings in the Dormans. Haven't had to add any coolant since topping off after replacing the rings, so as long as that is covered it is as good if not better than stock hoses. Florida heat and several long trips to Atlanta and back, no probs. And just rolled over 73K miles on the ole FX2, still runnin like new!

Hey speedtwin32, I was wondering how you were doing. Glad to hear from you and that you have had zero leaks and no coolant loss. So Dormans with the stock O rings are just as good! I am happy to report like you also my Gates have held up excellent and no coolant loss or addition either. Hey I added a oil catch can to my truck and used some smaller gates thermoplastic connectors on my PCV hose where I spliced in to add the can. I love those things. Thanks to you it has made my life easier. The best money I ever spent. Take care!

What makes that hose different than your average Gates heater hose sold and every parts store?

Not picking, just curious.

These engine covers really clean up that 5.0 engine bay! Makes it look much more performance oriented. Good job guys!

The cover on the green stripe hose is abrasion resistant, with how this hose will be ran, it is a just a little piece of mind.

Yep, a full roll of it for $498. No carquest in Arizona. I checked gates site and other than small shops O'Reillys is the only distributor near me.

I have read through this once before, but it's been a while. can someone refresh my memory please? to fit the cover, the only existing parts on the truck that have to be modified or replaced are the heater hoses? the rest of the stuff has enough slack to just relocate, correct?

Nice job! That looks great. You took the time to really do it right. If you all will notice too in azmidget91's 3rd pic you will see the difference between the 2013 up trucks. The hose with the Green clip on it going to just above the intake throttle body is shaped and ran the same as on the mustang 5.0's. We that have the 2011 and 2012's that same hose is curved and sticking up making our job a little harder due to that fact. They must of just had some left over material and used it on the early trucks. Great job again!
