I have a 2012 fx4 super crew 5.0. Is the tsb the same fix and code when I take to dealership tomorrow morning?

I think this is only ecoboost specific but I'm not 100% certain.

Dang! I thought it was fixed but it did it again on one of the hills this am on the way to work. It is 90% better than before the update.

I think it's affecting all engines because of the thread with all the diff configurations.

Heading to the dealer this morning. Fingers crossed!

Did you have the latest PCM flash done with TSB: 12-02-10?

Sucks if you had it done. While I appreciate all that can be accomplished via flashing the PCM I think this issue is not going to go away without the physical replacement of some part. To me the torque converter still sounds like the culprit.

Just got back from the dealer. Short visit. They are telling me that I already have the update and that there is no new flash that can be applied to my truck.

I haven't had it in the shop since mid January and this supposedly just came out yesterday so I'm confused as to how I already have it. The dealer couldn't explain it either, just kept saying that I already have all of the latest diagnostics and that there is nothing to update.

If that is the case, then I can report that no it doesn't help the idle, gas mileage, surging/misfire/shudder or limp mode when merging onto the interstate or aggressive passing. I still have all of those symptoms.

Wow.

Wow.

I guess the TSB just came out yesterday but that doesn't necessarily mean the update wasn't out sooner. I would take it to another dealer for a second opinion. Also, this is not solely a flash. There are other things that *may* need to be done.

Does not address 5.0.
