Called a new dealership today since the one I purchased the truck from now ignores me since I told them it isn't turbo lag. Goes in this Friday to have the tsb completed! Mine is an 8 of 2011 build, does mine also get the catalytic converter replaced. Is that mentioned in the tsb?

There was some talk a month ago about ford having back orders on a catz change for the boost. Believe TSB 12-2-10 deals with shudder and waste gate programming for 55 mph.

Just wondering if anything specific besides mode 6?
I have a 2012 fx4 super crew 5.0. Is the tsb the same fix and code when I take to dealership tomorrow morning?

I just got home from having the latest update. I think mine might be fixed. It is 30 miles to home from the dealer. For starters, I reset the Instant mpg when I left the lot. The first 5 miles were on a fairly flat interstate. At 65 mph I got 23.1 mpg. Then I hit a 2 lane highway and set the cruise at 58. There are 4 hills during the 25 miles drive that it always shudders. The first one is pretty steep. I heard the flapping noise twice on that hill but did not feel the usual jerking. The rest of the ride was smooth. When I turned off the highway, my impg was at 22.3. Yesterday, I had filled up before I left the town where I work and I got 18.2 on the commute home. So, a huge jump in mpg on the same trip - same gas. Then when I drove up our gravel township road, I go up 500 feet in elevation. No cruise but try to maintain a steady 30 mph. There is one steep section where it always shudders like crazy. Nothing this time. When I got home the impg was 21.9. That is the truck I remember from the last summer. I will keep you posted if anything changes. Interested in seeing if this is a fix for you other guys.

Depending on the DTC codes you get a new torque converter, puter updates and Catz for 1 bank. All well and good, but what about all the misfire spark plugs. I for one will order a new set of Denso Iridiums to put in at the 1st hint of a misfire.
