I'm new to this Forum and came here specifically because of the low MPG I'm getting on my 2012 F-150 Ecoboost 6. Ford dealer keeps telling me I should be getting 18 to 24 or more. I don't tow anything when checking milage. I am noticing that in the colder weather my milage goes down to 15 to 16 mpg. If I'm driving 70 on the freeway i never get over 18 mpg. I buy the lowest grade of gas which didn't seem to matter when I put in the high test. Any ideas.

Yes. Start your own thread in the year group and don't hijack other threads (as you've done twice now).

My thoughts exactly. Do we really need another MPG thread?....

Did a 350 mile round trip for guard drill (about 80 percent interstate) basically setting the cruise dead on speed limit (70 for almost all of the interstate). 23.9 mpg for the trip, and 505 miles on truck when I got home. 3.5 EcoBoost XLT Sport 6.5' bed.

2.7L Extended Cab 4x4.

Put about 1800 KMs on it so far and im averaging about 13.7L/100 (17MPG) on the highway cruise controlled at 110KMH (65MPH).

I pray to god its the engine not being broken in and the -15ish celcius temperatures that are giving me this milage. Was hoping to get it around 12. A few days I was skipping around in 4x4 but only for about 100KM or so during a snowstorm.

I have babied the throttle as well.

Otherwise love the truck! Never thought I would buy a Ford pickup but that GM 5.3L is an old man at this point and only dbags drive dodges .
