Did not reprogram and this is from the dashboard display (simple math suggests real mpg is a little better than indicated). I'd need to deep dive the internet to figure out how to reprogram.

That's a good point, Bowers. The difference in diameter will make the miles read in the computer less than actual so actual MPG will be higher than displayed.
Thud - to make an educated guess, multiply your new tire diameter by the indicated MPG then divide that by your old tire diameter. Tire diameters should be available on mfr datasheet.

As a follow-up, thanks for clue that I needed to discover the world of FORScan. I tweaked the tire circumference several times until I got the speedometer to match gps. The truck now indicates ~ 16 mpg at 75 mph. The tires may roll a little smoother with several hundred miles on them. 16 mpg somehow seems a lot better than 14, which is kinda depressing. I'll be researching air filters to see if I can get it to breathe a little easier without a drastic mod.

Default Fuel Consumption

2011 F150 5.0 with the FX4 off road package (never been off roading before). Now that the truck is 13 years old, the KM/hundred is horrible. I get the engine is not as efficent as it used to be but I do alot of driving going back and forth from job site to job site and the km/hundred in the city is anywhere between 17-18 and on the highway is 13-15. I also get that tires make a difference to so that doesn't help the cause having aggressive tires but for the type of climate we get here in Albera I need them. So yeah, hoping to buy a new truck soon not brand new but a few years old maybe 2021-2023.

Just got my truck back together new timing kit oil pump water pump tstat was 165 its 180 now plugs wires and I'll retune it with hptuners when I get out on the highway, I got a 1200 km 800 mile drive all highway.

Hoping I can get back to 22 mpg with this 5.4 !!

Found some long tube headers i might consider buying in june.

Truck looks awesome and is now the way I want it. Went on a camping trip (March) - flat interstate mileage 14 mpg @ 75 mph!
What do you think? Is 14 mpg my new normal? Will the computer adjust for more fuel efficiency? Would cold air intake or something else give me back some mpg? Thanks!

22 mpg

14 mpg?!
Like you, I've been seriously considering getting a canopy to do camping. But the cost up here is 4k cdn and thats alot of money for fuel..

Might get a box cover and use my tent and cot instead.

Well, I’m 640 miles with another 100 to go, but I thought it’s time I posted in this thread.
yesterday covered 373 miles. Traffic was awful.

We had DOT idiots in CT causing a 45 minute back up on I84. Two guys filling in potholes BY HAND WITH TWO SHOVELS. Two guys working with half a dozen DOT trucks shrinking the interstate to one lane.

Result yesterday was 22.5 mpg.
Today’s mpg is in the image

Sometimes I think about those Bed racks for ladders or pipes and a strong Tarp. Kinda redneck but it would work.

Default Santa Fe. trip

My wife and I just completed a trip from Kansas to New Mexico and back in my 2018 Lariet Fx4 with the Coyote 5.0. My overall mileage was 19.6 ( hand figured), my best mileage ( again hand figured) was while driving through a long work zone, I think 30 miles at 55mph. My lom said 25.6 mpg and I was very surprised when I hand figured and got 27.2. The rest of my trip was at 80mph and went between a little over 23 and a little over 15 bucking a wind. I know this isn't up to economy car standards but I don't feel that it is to bad for something that rides like a luxury car and is the shape of a brick.
