I wish it was like that here. If I could carry, I probably would just because I can.

We have so many retarded laws. Every gun is limited to 5 rounds in a mag. With the exception of pump shotguns and rimfire rifles, which are unlimited. And handguns I believe is 10. You can have a 25 round magazine, but it must be pinned to only fit 5 rounds. It is so stupid.

I don't think these rules are fair to law abiding and responsible gun owners. I mean, if some nut job is going to go on a killing spree, he can just take the pins out of his 25 round mags and go nuts. If someone is going to do some crazy **** like that, they aren't going to care about magazine capacity laws and calling into the rcmp to let them know they are transporting their ar-15 to the local mall to kill a bunch of people. It is just ridiculous and a huge inconvenience.

Although, we can modify our weapons however we want. Don't you guys have some thing called 922r compliance? Or is that just for certain weapons?

I usually sit my Beretta 92 in the passenger seat if no-one is with me. Like the guy from West VA, here in VA after we pass a 15-20 minute background check on their computer we can leave with the gun. No concealed is required for open carry. But you do have to have a concealed to put it in the center console, which I do have my concealed so.. Most of the time for me I put it in my center console.

We have always been an open carry state on your person in plain view, now law abiding citizens even the playing field with criminals that carry concealed because they are, .. well criminals and laws mean jack **** to them, they are less likely to try something when they don't know if their target has a gun to defend with.

No concealed carry permit required in other words.

You couldn't have said it better. Gun laws are only for the law abiding citizens. Criminals dont care about laws.

Whenever I am dressed I Carry a Sig 938 Extreme w/ night sights in a DM Bullard Bodyguard holster. It's an outside the waistband holster which sits just above my right rear pocket. This is the most comfortable combination I have ever worn.

In my truck there is a Smith and Wesson M&P 40 compact in the console, a Smith & Wesson 442 with Crimson Trace laser sights in my van and my wife carries a Sig SS P232 (Germany) but she is looking for something a litter/smaller lighter.

We need no permit to open carry here....so, on the padded dash when moving or whenever in the truck....hide it when I go in a store.

At road blocked drivers license checks, I've had the law ask, "Is that loaded" and I of course tell them yes....they normally reply, "Good, we need all the help we can get stopping crime."

Default Truck Gun Holster

Hey fellas,

Need some ideas for keeping my pistol in my truck other than having it bounce around in my center console so show me some pics with your setup!

I have 2015 King Ranch with bucket seats FYI and would like to have the gun hidden of course.

Personally, if I ain't wearing it, it's locked up.
I have a lock box bolted under the back seat for those times I have to leave it in the truck.

Too many guns get stolen via smash and grabs out of trucks. They might still get it, but they'll work for it first, and risk getting caught in the process.

I also, have not found a good place for my gun when I cannot carry it inside the place I am going (e.g. post office). I have a friend that bolts a small pistol safe in the center console. He uses the one that utilizes the finger grooves to open up. I carry stuff in my console so, quick access to the gun may not be so quick. It would also be a pain to have to remove stuff from the console to get access to the lock box. I am thinking Blckwlf may be right. A box under the rear seat might be the ticket. Issue with that is, in some cases, it may be difficult to access you gun from that box discretely.

I'm in AZ so being discrete isn't an issue... I do see your point though.
