What is this?

Just picked up a MY16 F150 XLT, noticed this down by the emergency brake mounted to the lower portion of the dash:

Anyone know what this is or does?

Passenger eject button. Sorry I couldn't resist.

It looks like some sort of override switch. Interested to hear the answers on this.

Whatever it is, it doesn't look stock.

I would never just throw some screws into my dash.
There are way better options and places to add a switch.

Is this a brand new truck? If so, did you have any Ford accessories installed on it by the dealer?

Brand new off the lot, nothing installed by dealer.

The round portion actually presses like a pushbutton, the top looks like (2) infrared LEDs mounted inside, they do not light up.
