Simply put, Unacceptable.

Would love to hear the Salesman stuttering his way through this explanation.

how many miles were on it when you picked it up? I wonder if someone wanted the truck but asked for a remote start added but never took delivery.

My salesman was completely clueless on the F150 line, been speaking with sales manager during purchase, whom I'll be following up with again.

Possibly. Picked up with ~80mi, truck was picked up from another dealer/lot.

That is most likely where the switch came from.

Might be an interesting accessory, if so, make them finish the install or remove it, leaving no damage.

Got a phone call from the sales manager today, he's not sure what it is either. He seems to think it's part of an alarm system that their dealership installs complimentary, but not 100% sure. Especially the fact that its not connected to anything.

Going by the dealership today to have him take a look. Will follow up on the thread later.

My 1998 Explorer can with a dealer-installed anti-theft that they disabled upon sale. Cut wires and everything. No issues in the 15 years I owned it.

Looks like the combo alarm LED/valet switch for dealer installed alarm.
