Sorry for the image quality, it's hard to get good images at night.

Appears it's not even connected to anything. No idea what this can be used for.

Only thing that comes to mind is a LED for a security system. Doesn't look like a Ford one though.

Maybe try googling the numbers on that bar code?

Tried that earlier, barcode is 41200160. Comes up dry.

I'd have the dealership explain what it is and then have them replace that panel.

I would go right back to the dealer and insist they tell you what it is. That might be something the dealer installed as a security measure for the lot. If they can't produce a good enough answer for you, however, tell them they can have their truck back, since now you don't trust them and go buy another one elsewhere.

Looks to me to be a switch for accent lighting. Looks like they were part way installing it & never finished for whatever reason. I'd take it back & find out what its there for, its pretty unacceptable to do that without your knowledge or consent. I'd have them either replace that trim or hook up whatever it was if its something you would ike

googling "41200160 switch" brings up several sites for remote start, was that an option the dealer added??

Pretty much every option except remote start. I will check with the dealer tomorrow to see what this is and follow up in the thread once I get an answer. If this isn't of any use, I would at lease like the trim replaced, it shouldn't be too much to ask.

Everyone, thanks for all the replies!
