Texas fording I have a 2015 king ranch and want sync 3 can you help

I tried using the search function and this is as close as I could get to my question
I have a 2014 with premium sound but without NAV. The last update was some time ago and it doesn't work with iPhone like it did when it was new. Is there a hack or an update that could bring the basic sync up to date to pair with iPhone so I can make and answer called from the steering wheel?

 

I just ordered the 4dtech kit (with nav) to replace the my ford touch in my 2014 f150. It comes with everything you need, and comes pre-flashed for your vin, It’s kinda pricey, but there’s a lot to be said for the low level of difficulty and that you don’t have to hunt down parts from multiple sources. Seems fairly simple to install (30-60 minutes).

 

I'm waiting for all the parts to come in, but I'm a bit confused on what needs to be programmed.

I read that I should go to Ford website to download my asbuilt data and then upload the apim data into the apim?
Am I understanding this correctly?

 

I’m interested in sync 3. I have a 2015 Platinum.

 

Got an 2015 XLT 8” w/o nav. Wanted to upgrade to Sync 3 with nav. How much would it cost me?

A quick google search returns options that are around $1,500.

 

OR>> search in ebay i did it for like 800

 

For a chinese clone with no programming, thats expensive. Plus him being a 4.2 needs several more parts and extra programming on other modules.
