Well, bought my first ford, 1964 Galaxie 500 in1970. Bought a ton of them since. Explorer, Expedition, Van, Mustang, Pinto, you name it.... Latest was the 2018 F150, bought new. I just came back from the RAM dealer and traded my F150 for a RAM 1500. This is not the right forum for a complaint list, and really my list was very small. But from the engine that would stop at every light to killing the 5.4 V8, to pricing themselves out of the market, I finally went to the dark side. Super happy with the RAM. Quiet, powerful. Love the 5.7 hemi. I think I would have paid a few more bucks to stay with Ford, except the V8 was a non-starter. I had an expedition (built on a F150 frame) with 5.4 for 15 years and almost 200K miles. It was awesome. I'm old school and don't ever want a turbo in a truck, and 5.0L is just too small. Its fine in my Mustang... I tried pricing out an acceptable F150 and it was thousands more and I still didn't like the engine. Looking forward to the RAM increased towing capacity, better ride and plusher, more roomy interior and decent monthly payment. My son and inlaws made the same decision. I think Ford discontinuing cars to concentrate on trucks is a very risky move. Esp if people like myself start turning away from the trucks. Not wanting to start a debate, just sharing my disappointment.
You mention towing. Have you checked the payload on your Ram?
Did you drive a 3.5 eco F-150? Gen 2 and 10 speed is a beast with a tune. My 2015 with 6 speed runs like a V8 and effortlessly tows any load I have put behind it. I use my truck as a truck and care about how it does truck duty, not that it has a V8, and the 3.5 eco is best for towing a heavy load in a 1/2 ton. The Ram interior is definitely nice and the hemi is a proven engine, but Ram has for years had issues with transmissions and interior build quality holding up over the long haul. I hope your Ram ownership experience is a good one.
310 HP and 365 ft/lbs of torque in the old 5.4 (if you had a newer one) is certainly a monster compared to the 395 HP and 400 ft/lb that the measly 5.0 offers. You say you are old school, given your like of the 5.4 and the hemi, it seems you just like old engines.
Good luck with your Ram. it certainly looks nice. I had a Jeep years ago when it was Daimler and the quality was non-existent so I would certainly not go back especially since Fiat is involved now.

Current engines are superior to the 5.4 in every way, so, again...lol
They clearly didn't price you out of the market, you bought the truck...new. And could afford to lose money yet again trading it at a mere 2 years old.
This definitely isn't the place to list complaints when you don't actually have any complaints. Ford should be complaining about people who buy for such silly reasons. But I think you already knew that...which is why you started this thread.

And BTW OP if that's true, do NOT drive any of those three engines, you'll be trying to talk the ram dealer into taking that truck back
Also for the record I drove a 2019 Ram with the 5.7 for a week as a rental. The engine is objective inferior to all three Ford engines listed above. Nothing wrong with it, it's not bad, and we're spoiled for choices these days...but the 2.7 and 3.5 and 5.0 are all better

Has to be only person in the world missing the 5.4, an engine that gets bitch slapped in every way from down low towing to high rpm power from the 5.0, let alone what an awful gas guzzler the 5.4 was
Thats akin to someone missing the old wheezy sohc 4.6 in the Stang over the Coyote lol.
