I wouldn't worry about welding the frame, semi trucks have stickers on the frame warning of not welding or cutting on them yet guys stretch thier frames every day to super long wheelbases. If a vehicle that can weigh excess of 80k lbs can handle it I'm pretty sure our half tons can lol

Good catch. It almost looks like the head of the bolt was broken off. In that circumstance I could see the piece of metal on the other side being fatigued to the point of breaking.

That's why I would get Ford corporate involved. Did the bolt get over torqued during assembly? Seems like a major safety concern for Ford. Can't tell from the picture to tell if the bolt was in there for five years or never.

Typical one-hit wonder. Although he came back with a couple more posts I suspect we'll never hear from them again.

$14,000.00 is for a full frame replacement. Dismanteling the entire truck and rebuilding it.

For those following my thread. Just confirmed dealership is not offering any more help. I have had the truck towed out of the dealership. Lawyers are currently putting a letter together to send to Ford.

I do have a question tho, why are some on here so skeptical?

This is a real problem. It is a real truck. I have posted pictures. I don't know how else I can prove it.
