jeffys64 , can you give us some sort of timeline?
How long ago did you purchase this CPO truck?
How many miles have you put on the truck since you purchased the truck and the discovery of the fracture in the LCA mount?
Good luck getting everything repaired.

No, however, the vehicle was bought new at the same dealership. Was traded in on another truck. It had all required maintence done on it. it was then Ford certified thru the dealership, and I bought it.
I have owned this truck for 2.5 years. I have put 50,000 miles on it since I have owned it. No one but myself ever drives my truck. I take very good care of it. My license plate coating is coming off because I wash it at least every other day. The only time I have ever had it off the pavement, is when it is parked on the grass when I go camping. And yes, the front end let go pulling into my parking spot at work.

How long does a CPO warranty last and what does it cover for valid CPO warranty claims?
The OP has basically stated that, 2.5 years ago and 50K miles less, the truck was "clean" and "had all maintenance done", that's why he bought it. Not sure how that helps his cause even if a warranty exists. This alone indicates the damage has happened under his control and was not a pre existing condition.
What kind of force does it take to "tear" those parts? I hope it works out for the OP, but I fear the worst for him and as usual, the attorney may be the only winner.

I actually test drove a CPO F150 and the salesman was talking to me about how great the insp process is and all that and i pointed out the taillight was broke.
Not sure how a CPO matters here, or even a warranty....especially since the CPO insp was done 2.5 years ago. I am really interested to see if this gets covered by Ford or a dealer...id almost want to take it to an independent frame shop to see what they say?
It's hard to believe that the dealer wants $14k to fix this. My 2016 F150 Lariat was in an accident (see thread at https://www.f150forum.com/f118/not-g...-today-418507/) and even with a full frame replacement plus all the extra body panels, it came out to just over $15k with paint and everything. Frame cost was $4600 plus the labor to swap everything over. All that for a 2" long bend in a spot that couldn't be fixed properly. Insurance wanted to cut the front clip out and put a new one in, but the body shop talked them into just replacing the whole frame. Came out cheaper in the long run to do it that way, I didn't have any problems with the truck for the 2 yrs that I drove it after the repair and even with that amount of damage, I got over $10k more than what I owed on it when I traded it for my 2017 F-250. I would be looking at another shop to handle the damage to the truck instead of the dealer that gave you that quote. I was actually at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep body shop when mine was fixed. They didn't care that it was a Ford, they just fixed it right!!! Good luck with the repairs, whichever way you decide to go with it.
