Well boys and girls have the Ford tailgate step. This retired construction worker likes the Idea of the universal use step, stepping up into the bed and using it as a seat within reach of a few cool ones on the tailgate. Try that with you bumper steps!!! My hips and knees are loving it.

23 years as a floor layer and the tailgate step makes me smile. 5ft 6 Wife loves it too.
GMs bumper notch is kinda silly I think. Just a couple more inches and you can reach the bumper. I would rather have an amp step than that silly notch.

Getting old kind of sneaks up, at least it did for me. Tail gate step is one of my favorite options! Forty three years in electrical construction makes it a must-have.

I don't think there is much of a height difference between the f150 step and the bumper cut outs on GM

ive seen the tailgate step assembly's for sale on eBay. Don't know what the difference to the inside of the tailgate would be but doesn't make sense that ford wouldn't use the same tailgate for both other than the top runner.

Just as good, now that I've had both..

In fact, I'd save the $ and go with the Bestop again.
I was gonna get the AMP but went with this on your recommendation. $171 with the coupon code at CJPonyParts. Thanks!

I vote for the Amp tailgate step, deploys quickly and easily and retracts the same. Very easy to climb up in bed, nothing really interferes with it's use. Installs in about 20 minutes.
