Default Sync update mistake...

Before I read through all the instructions, I updated my Sync, then formatted the thumb drive before confirming my update online. Oops. I attempted a factory reset, however it seems to have reset to the updated Sync version. It told me that "this update has already been performed, please remove the USB" after I attempted to reinstall the latest update after I did the reset. I keep getting email from Sync telling me to confirm my update, so I tried emailing someone to explain the issue, but I got no response. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Or run a vehicle health report.

Ok, so I tried the Sync version checker and the process is now stalled at the 3rd step, which is selecting the .xml file. I'm selecting it, but nothing is happening and I can't proceed to the upload step, #4...Any ideas?

Hi Scott2373!

What browser are you using, and have you tried another one to confirm? I also recommend running a Vehicle Health Report if you can't get it completed online: http://owner.ford.com/sync-technolog...c-myford-touch

I'll be here if anything else comes up.

I just did this too and am having the same issue. I select the file, click open and it doesn't do anything else. It just sits on the Step #4 page.

I was using Firefox first. Tried it on IE and it worked there.

Maybe that's my issue... I use Firefox. I can't stand IE. Maybe I'll try it with Chrome and see where that gets me. Thanks for reminding me of that!
