tired 2-3 times.... truck doesn't even acknowledge the newest thumbdrive files.

 

New forum member here. I own an '18 Raptor, but couldn't find anything on the FRF about this topic. I downloaded the two files (SyncPre32 and JR3T-14G424-CE.TAR), opened and copied the contents of the first file to a formatted USB drive. Do I just copy the license file as-is to the SyncMyRide folder? My computer says it's also a WinZip file, like the SyncPre32 file. The license file is 2KB in size in size and there are two files inside the compressed license file: License.txt and Version.der

Put all files from the Pre32 zip into /SyncMyRide along with the license file as is. All with be tar.gz. Top level will have the autoinstall.lst and such.

 

That's what I did. Install has been going for 45 minutes or so, so it seems to be working thus far. I'll post an update once complete. This will be the first time I've updated the nav maps. My version was NA 1 15.

UPDATE: Install worked fine, took at an hour to complete. New version is now NA 1 19.

 

I ran the update from the flash stick I ordered from Ford, but in the end it stills says I have NA 1 18. I tried to re-run it just in case there were files missing, but it will not run when I insert the USB now.

 

What Sync version are you running?? V3.3 has a bug and won’t report the correct version of the maps.

 

Yep, that's what I have V3.3 build 19052

 

You should be all set then. It is just reporting the wrong version. When/If you upgrade to 3.4, it will start reporting the correct maps version.

I did the SYNC update from 3.3 to 3.4 and NAV update to NA 119, but at startup I'm still getting the LST_ERR05, with no USB inserted.

Nothing major but could do without it. Any ideas how to get rid of this?
