....I have Nav BTW.
I did 1.0 to 2.3 with USB. I did a factory reset to the radio and immediately plugged in the USB drive. I was not driving however, did it while it was parked with it "on" not running and opened the doors every 10 mins to prevent it from shutting off.

How long did it take? I could see driving making it take longer....maps and such using cycles.

Mine took about 25-30 minutes, however, I do not have NAV.

I upgraded v2.2 to 2.3. It was not a smooth upgrade experience. I could never get it to update automatically through WiFi, so I did the USB method. At first I couldn't download the files from the owner.ford.com website. It was throwing an error when I went to download. Others on the forum were reporting the same thing. After about a week of trying, it finally allowed me to download.

I put the files on the USB, but when you plug it into the truck, there is no prompt or any indication that it is doing anything, until you remove it, then it throws an Update Failed error. So, after two Master Resets, I just left the USB plugged in and it eventually gave me a notice saying it was upgrading. I have about a 35-40 minute drive to work, so over the course of a morning's drive and two weeks of trying to figure all this out, it completed.

Now Ford wants you to confirm to them that you've upgraded by sending them an XML file that it writes back to the USB drive, but I didn't realize that until I logged back into the site. I've already formatted the drive, so the xml file is gone. I guess they'll have to wait until the next update.

Well, updating my system from 2.2 to 2.3 wasn't without some adventures. Initial download failed, but as soon as I selected "Retry" on my browser it reported it completed the download. Extracted the files and copied them to my USB drive, plugged it in and went for a 20-30 minute drive. System completed the update with no issues. Came back home, plugged in the USB drive to my laptop and logged into the owner.ford.com website and tried to upload the .xml file...failed numerous times. Would not upload. I had two emails in my inbox from Ford asking me to confirm the update. Selected the link in the email to confirm it, and the webpage would not load...timed out. Logged out and logged back in to owner.ford.com and lo and behold, it reported that my system had been successfully updated to 2.3. Not smooth, not without issues...come on Ford. These are pretty expensive vehicles and you can't get an update process to complete without these kind of hiccups?

I keep getting this with the USB method. I've redownloaded the file multiple times. Nothing works.

My sync version is 2.2 right from the factory.I've tried many times to upgrade to 2.3 with wifi and it never works for me. Showing connected and strong signal.
