2017 xlt sync 3 v2.2. I have been trying for 7 days to download the update from ford with no luck. All I get every time I try is "There was an error loading your SYNC software update information. Please try again later." I did the chat thing and they told me that IT is looking into it.

Please note Ford named the filenames the same for 2.3 whether 2016/17 or nav or non nav so to make sure you have the correct one once downloaded unzip the contents then open the autoinstall.lst file in notepad and it will tell you which one it is.

my ford page always say my sync is up to date. my truck is a 2015 platinum with sync 2, i bought the aftermarket sync 3 module from 4Dtech. Either way, now the v2.3 is out it shouldn't say I'm up to date right? how can I download the zip?

 

owner.ford will never show your sync 3

 

Finally getting my update to download to my computer,,,, 15 min left then to the thumbdrive

 

 

I haven't been able to get the download from owner.ford.com as was brought up on this site, but today the site went down completely, now it's back and I was able to get the download.

So if you have been having trouble, try now.

 

I still have 1.0 on my truck. I have the 2.3 file loaded form Ford but had the "updating system" header for well over an hour. Had to shut it down. I'll keep it connected. I have a 45 minute drive into work so we'll see. Anyone else done 1.0 to 2.3 via USB?


....I have Nav BTW.
