Finally got mine to work only by adding a local for sale truck similar to mine to my ford owner account. Used the USB and had no trouble whatsoever. Followed the instructions given.

Hello All,

I'm trying to upgrade from Sync 3 2.0 to 2.3, all appears to be working, however the update has now been running for over 90 minutes.

Reading feedback from others the update is meant to take approximately 30 minutes.

I quit the upgrade, reset sync and will try again.

Anyone run into long update times and still had success?

UPDATE : Now running into the MEM_ERR03 issue....

wifi update-no worky for me
will try usb update from v1.0 to 2.3 soon.
couple questions...do i have to do a master reset prior to update? if so, will i lose all my presets and sirius presets/alerts?

Mornin all! I tried 2.3 last night and failed. I went in, formatted the drive, did the syncmyride folder, and got the message it was complete. It reset, and still shows 1.0...crazy part is I uploaded the xml file from the install, which says 2.3! Is it there and will update while driving? Anyone had this happen?

Ran it again, and it says complete and will “take effect next time you start the vehicle”. Maybe the files are there but it installs while you go. Some people have said they thought it didn’t work, drive it later, and it’s there...

i got the car play USB hub too. Perfect truck once this takes its update lol.
