Sync 3 Memory Issue
Do you have more context? You might need to do a few master resets to try and free up just enough space if the "step 1" of the jailbreak process won't work. You do need to follow the directions very closely, especially the reboot timing. It's very easy to not get the reboot timing right.
I can't do any master resets because that is one of the issues with this bug/bum firemware update. It won't master reset.
*The written says to reset before the error message pops up, the video guy does it when the message pops up. The message actually got faster the more often I tried. Never saw the A-Team graphic, but the truck was reading the USB.
Here is what I did. Same issues as everyone above. I downloaded the Syn3 Updater program from CyanLabs on my windows computer. Under the utilities tab you can have it format and configure an interrogator log USB. I used an 8GB. Plug it into your truck and wait till it says complete then plug it back in your PC and click open interrogator log from the utilities tab in Syn3 software. Look for the rwdata folder, mine said 1.2 GB total with 0 space free.
Here is the problem sync has filled the log folder with who knows what and this is what is causing all the issues. If you go to FORD they will say replace your APIM for mucho dollars if your not under warranty. But heres what gets me, yes that fixes it but it only does because you get a new one with an empty log folder. Im pretty upset with FORD and I see a future lawsuit coming because this is ridiculous.
So why pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars when you can just empty the log folder yourself. Yes you "jailbrake" it but its not truly jailbroken because it doesnt affect future updates or anything for that matter.
I followed this and it took about an hour and now my sync is working like new. Step one run the jailbreak, step two run the Daemon installer then step three run the script below. BTW I had no idea if the jailbreak had worked until you try running the second step and that is when you will see the A-Team logo. Took me a few tries for the jail break to work.
NOTE: This is the only option at this time to completely clear the contents of the /fs/rwdata partition for MY20+ APIM’s, as you cannot use the reformat tool. Using the Soft Reset option will free up some storage/memory for the short term, however.
Once you have completed the jailbreak, you can use this script to clear the /fs/rwdata folder. The popup text is provided to verify the script is running and is optional.
Script file name: autoinstall.sh
#!/bin/bash
POPUP=/tmp/popup.txt
function displayMessage {
echo “${1}” >> /fs/usb0/SyncMyMod/install.log
echo “${1}” >> $POPUP
/fs/rwdata/dev/utserviceutility popup $POPUP
#echo “${1}”
}
displayMessage “Deleting /fs/fordlogs”
rm -r /fs/rwdata/fordlogs/*
displayMessage “Deleting /fs/slogs”
rm -r /fs/rwdata/slogs/*
displayMessage “Deleting /fs/dumps”
rm -r /fs/rwdata/dumps/*
displayMessage “Script complete.”
Thanks to user @Jordan for the script.

FMods Jailbreak
Using a jailbreak and the appropriate scripting, you can clear the /fs/rwdata partition. Details on the procedure to jailbreak your APIM can be found at [GUIDE] How to Jailbreak your APIM - FMods 25. You will need to register on the website. Again, you will likely need to perform the Soft Reset procedure above to free up space to run the procedure. Questions regarding jailbreaking the APIM should be directed to the FMods forum.NOTE: This is the only option at this time to completely clear the contents of the /fs/rwdata partition for MY20+ APIM’s, as you cannot use the reformat tool. Got mine to actually master reset this morning. I'm going to run up and buy a couple more thumb drives so I'm not running back inside, loading files, then running back out to the truck. I'm going to hook up Forscan and do the resets that way vs the vol/ffwd button.
I'm sure I screwed something up, I was doing it at night, it's flying termite season, and they were all up in my business. lol.

i got help from an individual on here. i will leave him nameless unless he wants to speak up. he gave me a program to run in my truck that clears the log without jailbreaking it(its my understanding that this will only work on MY19 and older).
i will see what happenes after a few day but as on now, about 2 hours in, the screen loads faster, no lagging and hasnt rest itself yet so things are looking up.

Holy cow my 19 ( Build 22251) has been doing this for a couple weeks now and I thought it was the battery, but guess not!! I like to keep my screen on Dark mode and having to change it every time blows lol along with the associated pressing the Yes / Ok button a few times lol----So are we saying a new APIM does fix this issue?

'19 here. Same issues started about a week ago. Called Ford Sync assistant yesterday and they walked me through all the reset crap. Memory held once, and now back to the same issue. Hopefully the recent fix by a member here being referred to will be made available to the rest of us.
