Mine just went into MacPhee Ford today to get new cluster installed. Took 2 days to come in from Bramalea Ontario.

It has happened to me several time now. Sometimes reading higher, and sometimes lower. It took a week on its own the first time to slowly make its way down. Haven't mentioned it to the dealer yet, but the quickest way to get it back to normal it with key off, hold OK button, turn key on and let it do the engineers gauge test.
Is the cluster replacement fixing the problem for good?
I might go for well over a month or two, but just when you least expect it So I dont really want to get the cluster replaced if it isn't a real fix

Well, It happened again. I thought that maybe it was a one time thing after it reset itself around Christmas without any recurrence... until today. Snapped a photo of it and will take it in this week to get the replacement scheduled.

replacing your cluster will resolve the speedo issue. Not a single issue since mine was replaced in Early Dec 2015. Prior that that it was rare to be correct and was all over the place. Is sucks to have to get your dash tore apart in a new truck, but that speedo issue drove me crazy!

I had my cluster replaced a couple weeks ago, hasn't acted up yet but before replacement it went some time before acting up.
I haven't tried the engineers test yet, but it is constantly about 1 to 2 KPH higher than the digital speedo. Cant remember for sure, but I don't think it was like that when I picked it up.
I know what you mean jhopster, not sure if related but I get a squeaking noise in my upper steering column now and the cluster replacement.

Dealer is just dodging the issue. A video or still is enough for warranty issue. I've had issues with my '07 XLT while on the Alaska Highway. First Ford dealer in Alaska said they had to see it themselves until I told them I was calling customer service. Then they looked at the video I had and said that particular issue was a known issue and had a TSB. Tech told me they didn't want to do as warranty since it didn't pay as well as charging me for the work, which he didn't agree with.

Make sure you have the customer service number in your phone and call them if a dealer doesn't want to deal with an issue. If it is legit and a warranty or TSB issue, CALL THEM in front of the service writer/GM.

Here's the pic, just crazy, I hope I get it in to the dealer before it resets itself, the guy on the phone was annoying and lacking any knowledge.
