I had something similar happen a few years ago on a Jeep. They had to order a new cluster. Never could exactly determine what happened, but the new cluster fixed it.

Does that mean if you get a speeding ticket between now and then you are "off the hook".

Well there's your problem, plain as day.

Change to MPH.

Silly Canadians...

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to follow posted speed limits whether or not your speedometer is working. Now maybe you could argue the point and get some sympathy.

I had an El Camino that said 55mph when the truck was going 65mph. 1st day I drove it to DMV to change the registration I got pulled over by CHP who said I was going 65 in a 55. I showed him the receipt from DMV from 15 minutes ealier and explained I just bought the thing the night before and this *** the first time I actually drove it.. Result.... $135 ticket... Thanx officer.

Most likely the mechanism is stuck. They plugged in a laptop right away in the parking lot. On board computer shows 0km at stop but gauge jammed at 60. Result new cluster.

They said I have to rely on the digital for now till the cluster comes in. If the truck didn't have digital they would give me a loaner in the mean time b/c it wouldn't be safe.

Having a great experience at Yonge-Steeles Ford. Would suggest that anyone in the Toronto area give them a fair shake. Way better customer service than the last dealership I used. Will never go back to them. And they keep calling and sending me flyers.

They must have put one heck of an overdrive in the new F150! You'll be getting great gas mileage for sure.

Is it negatively affecting your odometer?

I don't think so. Funniest thing last night the needle made it back down to 0 at rest. Going to have them replace the cluster regardless.
