Mine was a write it was a GMC, not much damage to the inside door but once the cab frame is compromised it's done....until somebody gets talked into a salvaged rebuild. Silver lining is I replaced my Sierra with a sweet F150.

I have a similar policy on my truck, if it gets written off within the first 5 years I get either MSRP of a exact equipped truck of whatever that current model year is, or my truck replaced with same. Also if it gets hit and repaired in the first 3 years they have to use brand new factory parts, no chinese off brand or used sheetmetal.

The most important thing is that you're ok and it looks like the ordeal won't be too much of a headache for you.

I have the same ploicy as you. Worth the money even if nothing happens (Peace of mind and all)

Glad the OP was not injured and his insurance did not give him a hard time.

I saw it when I went to get my stuff out of the truck, the bottom of the truck was pushed in about a foot or so but I didn't look under it as it was raining that day.

one thing to keep in mind with the rebates and/or discounts on the 2016s, you're buying a vehicle that's already a year old and it's also the "old" model now that the new engine and trans are out and it certainly doesn't help that the 2018 redesign is on the way. when I bought my 2014 in September of 14, after ordering for 15s had opened, this was something I had to put a lot of thought into and ultimately went with the 14 because I didn't want to deal with the "teething issues" of a new model and the deal I got was nuts.

I am A plan as well so the deals on the 16's are stupid good. I have heard good things about the 10 speed and the new 3.5 so the test drive will determine my fate....

Im in the same boat as you torn between breaking the new motor trans combo rule but dang it sounds good when people talk about them. If they have the right deal on a 16 I'll jump on it and hope I don't regret not getting the new 10 speed. If only I get get them to total my truck. Doors should be off tomorrow!!

Throw a level across the floor, if it has any gaps under it, then point it out because the cab is warped. The thing with Aluminum is that once its shape is changed, there is no way to restore it without softening it, shaping it, and hardening it, something body shops cannot do.

Glad to hear everything has worked out for you and that you`re getting back into the game.

You are correct..........The deals on 2016`s right now are probably the best they`ve been since they came out but the 2017`s also have your attention.

I`d hate to be in your shoes right now in making a decision but it`s nice to have that choice.

Happy hunting to you today and tomorrow and if you decide on one this weekend, take a pic and post it.

Have a good day.

I'm glad that you are ok. Sucks to see another RR bite the dust. I hope you find an excellent replacement.
