Default RIP Ruby

Had her 6 months and she took a big hit today. Got T-Boned when a guy came off the 407 in Toronto and decided to keep going through the intersection and blew a red light. Hit me at full speed, witness said I went airborne and spun around then the truck came down off two wheels. I never saw it coming, it was like a bomb went off. truck did it's job, I was shaken up pretty good, but no injuries. I would have hated to see what would have happened if I was in a smaller car as the guy who hit me was in an X5 BMW. His front end was destroyed and luckily he was not hurt either.

Has the insurance company told you it was totaled? Have a feeling it's fixable

Glad to hear that all involved walked away.

Wow, second Forum member this week with pictures after an accident and all parties involved walked away as well.

He updated us and his vehicle was totaled out by the insurance company and from the look of your`s, i`d say your vehicle will be totaled as well because the frame looks like it sustained some serious damage.

Again, glad to hear you`re ok and keep us updated.

Try to have a good evening.

Damn, that sucks. Crazy part is I got hit by a BMW X5 in the exact same body location in my Toyota Tacoma years ago. I was very lucky to have walked away from that accident....both my truck and the X5 were totalled.

Glad you are ok. Trucks can be replaced, lives cannot.

I don't think thats a totaled truck. 2 doors and running boards & maybe a new frame if it can't be bent? Thats a $50K MSRP truck at least no way theres anywhere near $20K in damage with labor

Don't forget to argue for diminished value if they don't total it.

Based on me having been in almost the exact same accident (albeit with a different brand of truck) I will be shocked if it isn't totalled. The frame is going to be rolled under the cab, the entire cab itself will need to be replaced, both driver's side doors are toast, he has all kinds of damage to the suspension (look at that rear wheel location), the bed is obviously damaged ...he is already well north of 20k in repairs- and that is just based on the obvious stuff you can see.
