Default Non navigation sync software update?

When I bought my truck my sales guy said ford is going to do a sync software update so we can Bluetooth Google maps to show up on sync screen. Anyone know when this will happen?

I found this online: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...roid-auto.html

Might not yet be compatible with iOS? From what I am reading, it seems like if you have a newer Andriod phone, you shouldn't have an issue...

Stated many times - before the end of the year, that is the extent of the information.

Hey everyone,

Google maps is an available feature when the Android Auto update is released at the end of the year. More details to come! Check your SYNC account periodically for more info: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...p-to-date.html

Hi I can use Google maps via USB cord with my android. Know if when the update comes out will it be easier to use like via Bluetooth?

Hmm, from "by the end of the year" to "at the end of the year". Next we will here it's the fiscal year and March of 2017.

If new builds are coming with 2, Ford should release it to those of us with older build dates.

Sigh.

Hi rozay,

You can use Android Auto by connecting to Bluetooth. Here's more info: https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-...roid-auto.html

Scudzo,

What a difference one word makes, right? In this case, the wrong preposition was used. It's still expected to make its debut by the end of the year.
