Default New to me King Ranch

Hey guys, I recently bought a new to me 18’ King Ranch. I’m planning to go up to a 285/60r20 from the stock size. I believe the truck is already leveled based off pictures I’m seeing in the forum, but I’m not 100% sure.

Is the gold looking piece on top of my coil spring a stock piece or is that the level? Please excuse my ignorance. I’ve owned multiple F-150’s, but I’ve always had suspension lifts.

You are definitely leveled and 285/60r20 will clear no problem

295/65/20 is the max without cutting and rubbing! Mines an '18 as well!

295/65/20(35.5"X12") Nitto Trail Grappler

That’s a good looking truck! Those tires look great on there.

Interesting. @RVA49erF8thful Your 295/65/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers are stamped as 35x12 whereas my 295/65/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers are stamped as 35x11.5. Aside from the weird tire sizes from Nitto…what lift/level are you running to have zero rubbing issues?

I had to adjust my struts to 1” of lift, then add a 2” spacer to equal 3”s of lift to clear these tires from the crash bars without modifications. To be 100% honest, the 295/65/20s fit fine and did not rub before I installed Icon UCAs. The geometry got funky after the Icon UCA install. This lead me down the path of looking for a good 3” level option, which doesn’t really exist, if you want to keep angles where they ought to be. So, I redid my front suspension to work with the geometry of the new UCAs. All of my angles now look good and are within spec. Zero rubbing…minus the rubbing on my new mud flaps, which is an easy fix. I’m slowly trimming them down after I notice any rubbing while in weird articulating situations.

Shock/strut question. I have a rwd with a front and rear level/lift. It's time to replace the dampeners, do I got 5100s in rwd or 4x4 since I'm 2-3" above stock height?

Thanks all

depends on how you leveled it. If the front is only a puck then get the stock length and reuse the puck or get the levelling struts and set them to compensate.

If you're asking about the rear, you should use shocks for a 4X4.

I'm running a complete front and rear Eibach Stage 2 setup. I left them at the max recommended height that they were shipped at. I think it's 2.75" with the new springs. It's been a while, so don't hold me to exact specifics.
