I have the same wheels on my truck now. Been debating going with a level and 285/70/17s, but have 6 speed and 3:31s...Drives great now, don't want to significantly change that...

285-70-17 are "33's" - but only by a technicality, they're barely larger than the stock 32's the truck normally comes with, getting a rough ~32.7" overall diameter.

Your 265/70/17 tyres are smaller than stock at ~31.6" vs stock size of ~32.1"

Thanks - as you know the 265's are the stock Wranglers that came when new - so 31.6" with 3.31s vs 32.7" with an effective ratio of 3.20....

I ran 285/70/17 on Raptor takeoffs on my previous 2013. It was a Gen 1 (obviously) 3.5 ecoboost with the 6-speed and 3.31 gears. Had no issues at all.

Finally got my truck the way I want it. Changed from 1.75" spacer level to FOX 2.0 level kit, 3" KSP blocks to raise rear (was 1" higher in front with FOX 2.0) and added Method NV305's (18x9 +18mm) with Toyo AT3's in 295/70r18. Only thing I needed to trim was a small piece of the front splash guards.. no rubbing anywhere else. I have the stock wheels, shocks, and struts in the back, its sitting about 1/3" lower in the rear in this pic that it is with an empty bed.
