thats what my guts had told me...thanks for helping me think it through. the mechanic has a good reputation in the neighborhood, maybe he was juggling 5 or 6 other things when i dropped by his shop to go over the parts i have.

i was imagining that maybe i did need a longer shock than stock. would the 5100s still work if that were the case? possibly putting them at the setting above stock...the middle?
If you go up one over stock you’re look at almost 4” with your 3” pucks, and even with the new control arms I think you’re asking for problems with other modifications. Anything over 2.5-3 go with a true lift.

Is it possible he's talking about the rear shock?

gotcha…well dang…should I just return these things (5100)s? I don’t need to go over the 3 inch level. But I may as well upgrade the shocks since I’m putting in the puck and UCAs.

I'm not speaking for everyone, but the consensus seems to be that the 5100 level is superior to a puck level. Mostly because of a little better ride quality. I prefer the ride quality better, plus the Bilstein is a better shock compared to what comes factory.

Default Cant get struts back in

So im putting the 2 inch supreme suspension leveling kit in, got everything assembled but cannot get the bolts from the bottom of the strut out. Used an air hammer, a little heat (dont want to melt the bushing), put a nut on the bolt and tried smashing it with a 4lb sledge. Cant get the bolts out, and cant finagle it in alone. Thoughts?

Take one mounting bolt out of the control arm and loosen the other, it will allow the control arm to drop enough to put the strut back in. You will need an alignment anyways.

I'm assuming you are referring to the lower control arm?

Are these the spacers? You can also take out the spindle nut, and once you unbolt the UCA, the halfshaft will slip out, and you'll have tons of room. Just be careful to realign the teeth on the IWE "BEFORE" you torque down the spindle nut, very east to do.

yes they are the spacers. I did undo the spindle nut, and if i seat the top of the strut back in, even with a pry bar on the LCA i can not get it to go down far enough. What teeth are you talking about regarding the IWE? Just making sure that the CV axle is back in and fully seated prior to torquing?

Yes, I'll attach a video showing how to do it, watch the whole video, lot's of good info in it.
OK, take a deepwell socket, large enough to fit over the bolt head, then use a vise or C clamp, one end over the socket, the other end over the threaded end, protected by a nut, and screw away.
