Steel isn't necessarily bad, if it has a good coating on it, the Bilsteins don't. I'm one of the guys that had a set corrode in only one winter. Not gonna happen again. I envy you guys that live where you don't have severe winters, except in summer or hurricane season. I've used aluminum bodied shocks before and after the Bilsteins I had, and no issues at all.
What got me, was why couldn't Eibach just tell me, aluminum, or steel? Neither is a top secret material.`

I've had them on my truck for a couple months now and I am very happy with them. I ended up turning them down a little to put a little rake back into my truck as it was dead level but it looked front high.

Eibach coilovers indicate that they have a "corrosion and abrasion resistant coating".

FWIW, I run some taller tires, and it was appealing that these can go up to 2.5" and the ability to adjust them after installation via spanner wrench. I'm looking for a very clean level, no rake. Should I change my mind later, ill just adjust. They also manufacture all of the components in house, rigorous testing, and maintain that there's no need to fork out additional cash for new UCA's should you want to go to 2.5".

@ 9'er - Nice set up. Looks clean. Do you recall what the Eibach Coilovers come set up out of the box?

They claim 2" but on my truck it netted me a little more around 2.25"

Ya, so does Bilstein, maybe Eibach will hold up, both look a lot alike, same maker?

Good to know, I may have them install them just as they come out of the box and then asses after if spanner wrench is needed to fine tune.

Didn't see you had replied. I read that to mean the mounts are aluminum, not the bodies. Could be wrong.

They are definitely steel bodied shocks.
