The block is 1.25", so, if you remove it, I'd tend to think the rear would drop 1.25".

Ordered a set of Bilstein 5100s for my 2018 XLT 4x4; what's the ceiling on tire size (without modification), assuming 2.1" lift on stock 20" wheels?

I am confused. I want to get rid of most of the rake my truck has. I occasionally haul a trailer so I would like to leave a bit of a rake...but not a lot. I originally was going to go with the 1.5" spacers or 2". Trouble is, As I read through this thread I see varying results. I like the look of the 2" and I see people saying they still have .5" of rake while others say they have a nose-high truck. Which is it? Can someone with a 2016 or similar model year measure their rake with a 1.5" spacer and someone else post their rake with a 2" spacer?

My goal is not a lift, just to get rid of or reduce the factory rake.

I think you need to measure how much rake you have first and then decide what size spacer you want based on that. Spacer is not going to raise the front any more than it is wide so if you have 1" of rake and buy a 1.5" spacer you will be nose high.

From what I understand, the reason they vary so much is that Ford's factory springs vary widely from one model to the next, so there's no way to be 100% sure/consistent. That and even the rear-end heights vary a lot. Mine sits higher in the back than many, I guess maybe because of the FX4 package and the trailer package, or maybe just manufacturing inconsistency.

This.

Go measure your fender heights, we can't do that for you.

You're talking about spacers, spacers gonna space, the springs have nothing to do with it. Go measure your rake.

I have been looking into these as well. I have found so many different outcomes with strut spacers and the idea of adjustability appeals to me. I don't want to stiffen the ride though. I will be interested in how you feel your ride has changed once you get these installed. I don't want to stiffen the ride. I happen to like the loose/soft ride of the truck. My only complaint is how the rear tends to bounce a bit. I understand the 5100's will help with this a lot.

5100's help get the backend more respectable, i haven't noticed the front being any firmer with the 1.5" lift from the 5100's, it feels a little more compliant if i'm being honest.

Thanks. I am curious what "compliant" means. I know, it is hard to describe these things. Maybe the easiest would be, how are the pavement seams? Do you feel them more? I imagine the rear wouldn't hop as much as before. Here in South Dakota we get a lot of freezes and thaws and our roads get pretty chewed up. I hate to feel even more of them than I already do.
