What is the extra bagged washer that comes with the Bilstein 5100 struts for? Is that for the top strut nut? The instructions in the kit don't tell you where it goes.

It may not say, but the washer is shown in a parts diagram. What is missing from the diagram is the OE Ford top mount and the spring insulator.

Yes, that M12 washer goes directly underneath the strut shaft top nut, the M12 X 1.5 nylon locknut (nylock).

Got my BFG KO2's yesterday. 275/65R20. Great fit and not even close to rubbing. Again 5100s on all 4 with fronts at 2.1".

Good looking ride overall, but that ridiculous bull bar on the front has to go. If you actually got into an accident that'll cause a lot more damage than not having it on there. Do you actually need to push things with it?

Says who?! I had one on one of my older trucks and got in an accident 50 miles from home. It actually saved my radiator and allowed me to drive home. Second of all, worry about your own truck. Theres no reason for that kind of attitude.

Gonna attempt my Bilstein install this Friday evening/Saturday morning, hopefully. Wife is out doing some stuff with girlfriends Friday evening and working Saturday so that will give me some wrenching time, although it's supposed to be hot as *****...hoping to get up early Saturday and get it done before it gets really awful outside, I guess we'll see.

Was looking at installing these on a ‘19 Lariat 4WD.
Is it recommended to remove the axle nut and IWE for the install?
I’ve seen mixed install videos, some do, some don’t.
If you remove it, I believe you need to apply a vacuum to get the splines lined up.
I think I only saw one video that used a vacuum.

Going through all these posts now but any help with be appreciated.
