Hello from Atlanta everyone!

Hoping someone can help me with considering the best options in leveling. Decided not to do a spacer leveling kit or a lift kit, so looking at shock or coil over options. Primary goal is reducing rake, but also want to improve handling and ride. 2017 3.5L SuperCab, will be towing an ATV trailer (1800 lbs) just about every weekend September -January, and a 4000 lb camper a couple times a year. Off roading is mostly rutted dirt roads and clear cuts. Helwig sway bars are for sure.

The range of options has me stuck in analysis paralysis - Bilstein 5100's? 6112s/5160s? Icon Stage 3? FabTech 4" Performance System? The cost difference could pay for the Fuel Vapors and new tires I will get once this job is done.

Thanks for any input on the pros and cons of these choices!

similar dilemma. '15 scab 3.5eco. Ive opted for the 5100s all around. to be installed tomorrow. dealer doing the install. going with the 1.76 setting. most of my driving is on road but i do a fair amount of hunt/fish activities and that takes me about as far off roading as i plan to get, similarly unmaintained dirt roads, muddy fields, clear cuts. i tow boats and camper but thats about it. cost was the deciding factor for me. 5100 have good reputation at a fraction of the cost of the other options your considering. And i didnt want to chance going just high enough that i impact pinion angles. i suppose i should take some 'before' pictures today.

All,

I've been lurking through all the lift/level threads looking for an answer, but seem to be getting a pretty decent amount of variability on answers. I'm trying to find the total height of a specific setup to see if it'll fit into my garage.

I have a 2016 XLT SuperCrew 145" wheel base. I'm looking at doing a BDS 4" lift with 275/70R18 tires. There's another F-150 around town with this exact setup. I loved the look, and really want to go with the same on mine.
Does anyone have that specific combination (any brand of all-terrain tire) that can tell me how tall the roof of their truck sits?
Also, I don't anticipate fitment issues with those tires, as they're most likely going to be about 33.5" tall, I am wondering if anyone has run something similar without rubbing on this setup? (I'm not a bag fan of wheels with a huge negative offset, I'm thinking around a 0 offset at the most). I guess the biggest thing with the BDS kit is keeping 5.5" of backspacing.

Anyone have any specific info?

Thanks aliass24 - share any info on why you chose that path? What else did you consider? Pics? What wheels and tires?

Yep, still fits in my standard size garage. Just a 2-inch level kit with 33s on 20" rims.

Why are you spending the money on a 4" lift to only put 275/70/18 tire on ?
Here is a pic of my truck with a 2.25" ready lift level with 275/70/18 BFG KO TAs
I think my truck needs a slightly bigger tire with just a level.....
The 4" lift is going to make those tires look really little on your truck.......IMO.
Not to mention the cost difference between lifting or leveling !
