3. Me: "Take me to "XXXX"
4. "Please say a device name" (or whatever it says)

You do this same sequence on just about any smart phone and a point or address is found and at worst it asks for confirmation.

I get that there are several feature items this A.I. computer is capable of taking commands to control, but so does our phones. And the fact that Sync 2 and 3 differ in hardware instead of software (firmware) just disappoints me for any possibility of improvements of accuracy.

Our phones even learn from consistent commands, such as instructing a call to a contact. The first few times it may ask you to confirm the contact based on similar sounds or even multiple phone numbers. Eventually, in my experience anyway, my phone learned who to call or what number. When calling through Sync 2, I have several contacts that I have to manually select from the list no matter how I pronounce them or how many times I've selected the same person. If this wasn't a $50k vehicle it may be different but I hope there will be a fix for such inadequacies soon.

I will add that I have seen the same issues with GM products so this isn't limited to just our beloved F-150s.

I hate where I have to take my eyes off the road and pick from a little tiny type list that is so hard for me to read,, same goes for road warning,, gee paid for a 8" screen and they only use half of it for warnings.

Default 20" split 3 spoke wheels

Ok something not important in the least but, I've never notice on the truck or on any thread. The 20" sport 6 spoke wheel is not really a 6 spoke wheel but a split 3 spoke. I noticed this the first time this weekend when I rotated my tires. See the attached pictures.

Looks more like a triple double spoke to me.

I noticed a slot under the Sync screen yesterday and was a bit confused because it is too small to really store anything in... then I realized it was a CD player. So apparently you can put these round discs in there and it makes music come out of your stereo. I don't know where you can get these discs from but apparently our ancestors used them to store their music 15-20 songs at a time. Its the retro touches like this and gasoline engines that make me smile when I think I bought a FORD...

Honestly though I thought to myself, WFT am I ever going to use that for?!? I really would have preferred a small storage bin there instead lol.

Ya, I wouldn't be so annoyed if they wouldn't give the BLING - then the Dute! I keep speaking after the Bling.....and not after the Dute!

It will ask me a question.. I respond in the middle of the Dute. So it has to then clearly tell me what to say... when I freaking know it... Cmon already...

I want it to talk faster.. I don't need 1-2 second pauses between everything... that's my only problem with it.. Give me the option to SPEED it up..

Dute!

I gave up on SYNC voice recognition after about day 3. I just hold the "Mic" button for 3 secs and use Siri.

When I DO need to use SYNC (only for navigation) I have to pull over, stop the truck and touch the screen.

But WHY WHY WHY do I need to touch the screen so hard (or at least 3 times) to get each touch to register? UG!

ft.

Ok, so this is going to sound weird. I was wondering the same thing. By chance I became interested in one of those $20 lexerd, or whoever they are, screen protectors that eliminate finger prints and glare. Put it on and it did neither. But it actually increased the responsiveness of the touchscreen. Significantly. I was bummed at the lackluster performance initially and then I realized i didnt care one bit how the thing looked once I realized that I only need to lightly touch the screen now. I think I could prolly 100 of em and repackage them as a touch screen enhancer/upgrade and mark 'em up to "NOW $88.00 ON SALE! WAS $99.99" and buy something else for the truck.
