I get back on jeep trails where I never exceed 10 mph and I'm in and out of the vehicle a lot. I disable the chimes.

IDK about you, but I don't need an annoying chime to remind me to put on a seat belt. As a responsible adult I think I can safely say when it's required and when it's not. Like rolling down to the end of your driveway just to hop back out to get the mail or garbage cans, or while on a trail where you have to keep getting out to remove debris.

And I think your comparison is a bit off. Disabling the seatbelt *reminder* doesn't prevent you from using them unlike trimming/removing the crash bars.

I hate all that SAFETY crap. We're becoming a nation of irresponsible cowards. Mine are disabled on all my cars.

As for the manuals, I staple all the warning pages together first thing.

Instead of all these bells and chimes, they could just put post-its on everything

Hey, it's YOUR car and YOUR life. Wear your belt or not, listen to the chimes or not ... just ENJOY yourself.
You don't have to explain to anyone what/why you do stuff.

Good for you.

The more someone says "do this!", the LESS I DO IT.

That might be amusing. haha

As it is, when I have the keys in and the door is open, all I hear is a white girl in Uggs with a Starbucks saying "OMG OMG OMG OMG"
