Mine locks with the 7/9 key press. You said the spare was in the truck, did you have the primary on you? If you have the fob in your pocket near the tailgate, it will open when you press the button even if the doors are locked.

No the other two were in the house 25 and 35 feet away from the truck. It's for sure the spare doing it as once I put it in the metal box in the same place as it was before the tail gate stayed locked.

Interesting to me that the front doors were locked but the tailgate wasn't. Might be the answer to those that wish the tail gate didn't lock. Which I think once I get the tail gate fixed so it's harder to steal I'm going to be one of.

Default 2015 XLT Activate Remote Start

I've seen a few YouTube Videos recently indicating it is possible to activate the remote Start Capability on 2015 XLT models of the F150, using a ford computer, and using your existing Key Fob.
Has anyone done this, or know the best Method for getting it done? My dealer doesn't seem to know about this.

Default Just wondering if anyone has had this activated, or if it requires an actual install.

How much does this cost, where can I take my truck to get it done, can I do myself?

You should've gotten a separate valet key. The key inside the fobs are there in the case of a battery failure, or damage to the fob.

It's really the spare tire lock key.
