I just got the truck last week and I am still trying to figure out all of the features.
In your tachometer screen under settings, advanced, vehicle, remote start you will find climate control and front seats.

I have tried both settings "auto" and "previously set" and ensured the "seats and steering wheel" options are checked. I have not once had my seats turn on when I remote start (even when I leave them on when shutting off the truck)

Has anyone had their seats turn on heat or cool using remote start?

I live in the Mojave desert and with the temps the last week, I assumed the cooled seats would have turned on with one of the setting options.

I have climate control and seat and wheel on auto and so far the seat coolers have not come on automatically with the remote start. Are they suppose to?

REMOTE START

(If Equipped)

The remote start feature allows you to

pre-condition the interior of your vehicle.

The climate control system works to

achieve comfort according to your previous

settings.

Turn the ignition on to return the system

to its previous settings. You can now make

adjustments normally, but you need to turn

certain vehicle-dependent features back

on, such as:
Heated seats.
Cooled seats
Heated steering wheel.
Heated mirrors.
Heated rear window.

You can adjust the default remote start
settings using the information display

controls. See
mation Displays
(page 105).
Note:

You cannot adjust the system during

remote start operation.
Automatic Settings

In hot weather, the system is set to 72°F

(22°C). The cooled seats are set to high

(if available, and selected to AUTO in the

information display).

In moderate weather, the system either

heats or cools (based on previous

settings). The rear defroster, heated

mirrors and heated seats do not

automatically turn on.

In cold weather, the system is set to 72°F

(22°C). The heated seats are set to high

(if available, and selected to AUTO in the

information display). The rear defroster

and heated mirrors automatically turn on

I guess based on this, the seats and steering wheel should turn on based on ambient temperature ONLY if you have it in the AUTO mode and not on the "previous settings" I will ensure it is set correctly and try again!!

My cooled seats come on I'm pretty sure. No hot leather anyway.

I am confused. I have my settings on auto and still no cool seat. How the heck do I get them to come on automatically?

I'm wondering if the auto setting uses the same temp sensor as what is displayed on the 8" screen. If so, my temp reading has been off quite a bit. Today it was 89 ambient air temp and it was reading 69. This might be a reason why the cooled seats have not come on.

My truck also came with a valet key, which also locks/unlocks the center console. Which, I find kind of strange, if this is in fact a valet key.

I don't think they do. I think they run while it's remote started. Then when you get into the car you need to turn it on. So if it's hot outside it will run the A/C Seats up until you press the button to start. Maybe sit in the truck for a bit before you press the button to start.
